My Service Day Project, by Aimee

Our school has service day projects where we do something to help others.   This year our school had a special emphasis on being a servant leader.  (Last year the special emphasis was on being an effective communicator.)  The fifth grade class (including Kate) cleaned up the beach by the school and they helped the preschool teachers.  The other sixth grade class went to a local school to play with them.  My sixth grade class had a local school come to us (we went to see them last semester) and we played different things with them like Capture the Flag and Dodgeball.  We also ate food together and read books to the elementary kids together.  It was a fun thing for a lot of people.  At the end of the year there is a prize for each grade for who was a servant leader the most.  Here are some pictures from last year's service project so you get an idea.  I don't have any pictures from this year except what my mom already put in her blog ("Aimee Visiting My Class").
