Bali to Lombok, by Kate

On an adventurous day we headed to Lombok, which is the island next to Bali where we first stayed when we arrived in Indonesia.  First we went on a terrible boat ride.  It would go up huge waves and then go down really hard.  It hurt my glutimous maximus even though the seats were padded a little bit.  First we were really happy and excited because we couldn't wait until we got to Lombok.  Then it started to get annoying.  Then it started to get really bad.  Hannah and Lizzie threw up.  I felt also like I was going to be the sickest I have ever been.  At the beginning Aimee was green but she wasn't sick.  Mom said Aimee looked at different times as if either she was going to be sick or that she was giving everyone the evil eye or that she was going to cry.  Even my mom said she had a very hard time on the boat and she even used to go on a lot of rides at Playland.  Daddy seemed O.K. but he probably didn't like some of it because he was squished between a sick girl and one of the crew on a seat meant only for two.  There were little bags hanging up on the top of the roof of the boat.  The bags were black and white striped and they looked like prison bags.  The boat did not have air con so we were sweating in there.  Two people by Aimee and Hannah thought the boat was a joy ride, nice and peaceful.  I know this because of what they were saying.  They were enjoying it while we were throwing up.  We called them Ken and Barbie.  They were not even sweating.  Everyone else was sweating.  As the trip went on it got worse and worse until we arrived at the first stop.  But the first stop was not our stop.  The trip to the next stop was easier because we were not in the open seas.  Finally we made it to our stop.  People on the dock wanted to carry our luggage because they wanted money but we did not let them.  Daddy called them the Lombok Cowboys.  There was someone waiting for us to take us to our hotel.  Elizabeth threw up one more time on the car ride because of the boat ride.  The rest of the day we tried to get over our sea sickness.
