Yesterday (August 31st) was Hari Merdeka. It is the national holiday so we had no school. Malaysia became a country in 1959 and then separated from the British. Merdeka means Independence and Hari means Day. Yesterday since there was no school my friends and I watched a movie together. Afterwards we played night tag around the block. Today we are going into Georgetown to go shopping.
