On June 29th, we drove from Ubud to Amed. Amed is located on the top north-west part of the island of Bali. It was about a 2 1/2 hour drive from our hotel in Ubud to Amed. We decided to make a couple of stops on the way.
The first place we stopped was at White Sand Beach. The water was too rough to do snorkeling so instead we rented a body board and the girls tried body boarding. There were a couple of hard wipe-outs with the surf flipping us and pounding up into the sand but it was still fun once we got the hang of it.

The second place we stopped was at Tirtagangga. They are gardens and a pool that were built in 1946 by the last local king that ruled in the area.
