For Christmas Day in Bangkok we decided to go to the beach. One of the closest beaches to Bangkok is in Bang Saen. Bang Saen is about an hour and a half drive south east of Bangkok and is beside the Gulf of Thailand. It was a very relaxing day.

Christmas Day is not formally observed in Thailand because it is a Buddhist country so the beach was not that crowded. We had sticky rice and a kind of bbq / satay chicken for lunch.
After the beach we went up to nearby Monkey Hill.
That night, for dinner, we had a Thai meal and then a McDonald's McFlurry for dessert.
