How Thailand Was Fun, by Elizabeth

We had lots of fun when we went to Thailand.  Every day we went on a tour.  My favorite thing about Thailand was riding on an elephant.

This is me and Aimee in an inner tube at the ocean.
This is my dad sleeping at the beach with his radio backpack as a pillow.
We went to a place with monkeys.  The monkeys are scary because they jump up at you and can bite you.
This is me in the Golden Mount temple and there were two gongs.  They were fun to play with.

This is me and my sisters with this huge, gigantic buddha at the temple of Wat Pho.  The third biggest buddha in the world is there.  The buddha was made of gold and the walls are really pretty with decorations.
We went on a canal boat to get back to our guesthouse.
This is one of the houses for an orphanage that we visited.    One sad thing is that one sister lives at this orphanage but her sister has to live at a different orphanage in Thailand.
We had dinner at this really good stall. I had grilled chicken.
This is me, Mommy, and Kate on an elephant.  It was my favourite thing in Thailand.  It was a slow ride and the elephant skin felt rubberish and its hair felt like wire.
We went to Tiger Temple. I walked with a tiger.  It was scary because I was afraid it was going to bite me.  I was relieved at the end.  The guy on the other side of the tiger is a monk.  Ladies must stay a short distance away from monks and not touch them.
This is me in a picture with a tiger.  This was fun.

This is a baby tiger who was resting.
This is the entrance of the Tiger Temple.  We had to drive through the tiger's mouth.
This is the boat that we took to the Floating Market.  We got to see lots of nice things to buy like a fan that can turn into a hat.  We had coconut ice cream that was super-duper good and it had pieces of coconut underneath the ice cream and it was in a bowl made out of a coconut.
This is when the Floating Market got crowded.  I was glad we were finished with our boat by then.
This is a big bench in a carving wood shop.  There was a chair that felt like it would be good for a queen.
This is an elephant show.  In the show they had a fight with real cannonballs but it was just a pretend fight.  Even at the end of the show there was still fire going from the cannonball.
This is a crocodile show.  The man is sliding like on a waterslide and was heading right for the crocodile's head.  There was a really grumpy crocodile because when the men put the sticks on that crocodile it would try and bite the stick really hard.  The crocodiles sometimes tried to escape back into the water.
This is when the elephants and men were fighting before the cannonball blew up the hut.
This is a Thai cultural show and at the end of the show the ladies taught some of us a dance.  That dance was easy because it was mostly just moving your hands up and down.  Another dance looked hard because the ladies had to move their feet really fast so they didn't get hurt from the moving sticks from the men.
In the show the men boxed.
This is before the plane ride back to Malaysia.
