This newsletter is when we finished off our Astronomy unit and students from both classes made a candy and dried fruit solar system. Coconut dyed with yellow food colouring, Saturn made from dried apricots and fruit leather, Pluto made from red and orange M & M's, and an asteroid belt made from light and dark raisins are some examples of the students' creativity. Good thing the eating of it happened at the end of the day because students were very excited just making it let alone eating it. We did share it with the rest of the elementary school students though, including Kate's class.
